What will I experience on this tour?
Start your Golden Circle day trip with an easy pickup in Reykjavík in our premium minibus. First up, we will travel from Reykjavík to Thingvellir (Þingvellir) National Park.
This fascinating UNESCO World Heritage site marks the spot where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. It’s also where the first Icelandic Parliament was formed!
Where to next?
We’ll head to the stunning Gullfoss falls, one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland. On a sunny day the spray glows with light – this is how the waterfall became known as the “Golden Waterfall” of Iceland.
Next up on our day of Golden Circle activities is the Geysir hot springs.
Here you will feel the raw energy of Strokkur geyser, the active geyser which erupts impressively every 3 or 4 minutes.
You’ll also see the now-dormant Great Geysir – famous for giving us the word “geyser” in English!
Continuing our tour of the amazing watery landscapes of the Golden Circle, you will visit the Kerið Volcano crater lake, with its amazing black and red earth contrasted against turquoise waters.
Throughout the day tour you’ll travel in the comfort of a minibus with no more than 18 people.
In a small group like this, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to hear fascinating stories and facts from your local guide along the way.
After a day of adventures, it’s time for some well-earned relaxation at the Blue Lagoon spa.
Iceland’s hot springs are famous for a reason – the beautiful blue waters and soothing heat of this natural geothermal spa are truly unforgettable.
We won’t blame you if you drift into a blissful sleep on the minibus back to Reykjavík!

What should I bring?
For your comfort: Dress to be ready for any weather! The weather in Iceland can be changeable, so it’s important to wear/bring warm, waterproof clothes, especially in winter. We recommend a waterproof jacket and pants, hat and gloves, warm socks and waterproof shoes.

We booked this tour in advance of going away because we wanted the guided tour. The bus had 10 people on which was perfect, not too crowded and the guide Helgi was brilliant. It was a long day and lots of time in the bus but for everything we saw was amazing. The company even helped me set up my proposal via email before we went, they were so helpful and kind.
Helgi told us lots about everything we saw and all in all I am in total awe of the amazing country. The blue lagoon was simply once in a lifetime and truly amazing. We had a perfect day and really can’t say anything more than 5 stars.

Wow!! What else can I say…we had a GREAT tour with Howser! We opted for the smaller group tour of the Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon and it was definitely worth the little extra for the more intimate experience. Howser was extremely knowledgeable and taught us so much about Iceland. He clearly has a vast depth of knowledge and pride in being an Icelander. We flew in overnight, landed at 6am and then spent 11 hours on the tour and we were not tired at all–it was that fun and engaging. We only had 1 day in the country but we feel like we experienced so much. I highly recommend this tour as a great way to see Iceland!
