What will I experience on this tour?
On the South Coast Minibus Tour, you will be treated to the most amazing south Iceland attractions in the comfort of a small group.
The day trip from Reykjavík will start with a convenient pickup in a minibus. This is a small tour with a maximum of 17 people so you can make the most out of your south Iceland adventure in a more personal atmosphere.
Among the highlights of the trip are two amazing south coast waterfalls. These are Seljalandsfoss Waterfall and Skógafoss Waterfall, which are especially beautiful in winter. Seljalandsfoss Waterfall in particular holds a very unique experience in store – it’s a waterfall you can walk behind for a special view (weather permitting)!
You will also experience the wild scenery of Reynisfjara black sand beach. This magical landscape is also home to the Reynisdrangar basalt columns – legend has it that they are trolls who were turned to stone!
Speaking of trolls, southern Iceland is home to many fascinating myths and legends. Your enthusiastic local guide will be on hand to tell you all about them, as well as local history and culture.
The South Coast Minibus Tour also features a visit to the charming village of Vík near the black sand beach. It’s a great spot to grab some refreshments and perhaps a souvenir or two.
And of course, it wouldn’t be Iceland without some ice! You’ll also visit the spectacular Sólheimajökull glacier with its blue-white ice and long streaks of black volcanic ash. It’s a popular spot for glacier walks due to its amazing scenery.

What should I bring?
For your comfort: Dress to be ready for any weather! The weather in Iceland can be changeable, so it’s important to wear/bring warm, waterproof clothes, especially in winter. We recommend a waterproof jacket and pants, hat and gloves, warm socks and waterproof shoes.

One of the best experiences of my life. The tour is through some of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Our guide, Howser, is very funny and extremely kind and competent. He also told us many legends and facts of the Icelandic folklore and history (amazing, thank you so much) in perfect English. Would do it again and again!

Mum and I went on the Southern tour on 11th February. We loved the small minibus feel and our guide Stina Bang was great. She was knowledgeable and friendly, and despite heavy snow and ice we always felt safe in her vehicle. The sites visited were amazing and the scenery just stunning. We had plenty of time at each site and Stina even took photos for us. The glacier was my favourite place to go, worth every penny. I would definitely book again when I return to Iceland.
