The tour will begin with a pickup from the Reykjavík Terminal, or from your selected pickup location.

For your comfort: Dress to be ready for any weather! The weather in Iceland can be changeable, so it’s important to wear/bring warm, waterproof clothes, especially in winter. We recommend a waterproof jacket and pants, hat and gloves, warm socks and waterproof shoes.

One of our highlights of our trip to Iceland. Had a wonderful time exploring the magic of the golden circle. Our tour guide Alex was very informative, knowledgeable and friendly. We even had a surprise ice cream stop on a farm en-route. Recommend using this tour operator, if you’re going to the golden circle.

A glorious sunny ride on the black beaches and then across the dunes…just one of those times you are glad to be alive and believe you can live forever! Ossi and team are wonderful and their experience and guidance is very reassuring. Just putting on the riding suit and helmet is a cool experience! Do mind their caution that if you have back or neck problems this adventure may not be for you as over the dunes can be bumpy.
Ever so glad I said yes to ATV with Black Beach Tours.

Pickup details
The tour will start from Reykjavík Terminal, Skógarhlíð 10, 105 Reykjavík. Please be there at least 15 minutes before your chosen departure time.
You can also add a SmartBus pickup during booking (for an extra fee). The SmartBus service offers pickups from major hotels, guesthouses and designated bus-stops in the greater Reykjavík area, including Kópavogur and Hafnarfjörður.
For pickup from Kópavogur and Hafnarfjörður, please be ready at the pickup location 60 minutes before the tour departure time.
For pickup from other areas, please be ready at the pickup location 30 minutes before the tour departure time.
What other important details do I need to know?
- All special clothing and all the equipment needed for the ATV trip is provided so you can enjoy a safe and comfortable ride.
- No special skills nor former ATV experience are required.
- You need a valid driver’s license to drive an ATV.
- You will be sharing an ATV with another person, or you can have an ATV to yourself for an extra fee.
- Please note that this tour is not recommended for pregnant travelers.
