Iceland as a travel destination has gotten more and more attention in the past years and today we have hard time counting how many tourists visit the country each year. We love it though because Iceland has so many things to offer and we want the world to see and experience as much of it as possible. So when a big media giant like CNN publishes an article saying that Iceland is one of the top 16 destinations in the world, of course we become very proud and honored.
CNN has gathered a list of countries that they claim to be the top 16 up-and-coming countries in 2016, according to an expert panel of pros who thrive and survive on travel to new frontiers. And of course (we like to think), Iceland is on that list and we wonder … who wouldn’t put it? Well we sure would. 😉
According to CNN it’s the Arctic’s extreme and isolated lands that fascinate, with Iceland, Greenland and Norwegian Svalbard offering plenty of sensory stimulants, starting with the aurora borealis.
Aurora borealis or Northern Lights as we normally call them, are one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland. Every night during the winter months there are several bus tours available for those wanting to catch a glimpse of this magnificent light show. Some tourists are fortunate and see it, but come prepared, not everyone can have such luck. We unfortunately can’t control the nature, although some would like to. 🙂
If you are looking for a vacation spot in 2016, you can put Iceland on your list as CNN did, we can’t wait to welcome you.
